Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Romance Takes Center Stage in Lifetime's Christmas in the Spotlight Trailer

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship inspired a new holiday movie!

Lifetime recently released the trailer for its holiday romance Christmas in the spotlight which follows the pop star and football player as they navigate their newfound romance in the midst of their fame — much like Swift, 34, and Kelce, 35.

While the network hasn’t confirmed that the upcoming film is inspired by a celebrity romance, there are several parallels to the celebrity couple in the official synopsis as well as the trailer.

The one-minute official trailer opens with blonde pop star Bowyn (played by Jessica Lord) performing on stage in a sparkly costume. Meanwhile, professional football player Drew (Laith Wallschleger) is in the audience with his niece, who encourages him to pursue the singer.

The two hook up and go on a date before deciding to make things more official.

“I know we’re trying to keep this a secret, but I don’t know if I can keep it,” Drew tells Bowyn at one point.

However, the drama seems to have been short-lived as Bowyn laments that she wants to be “a normal girl dating a normal guy” which led to the two agreeing to take their relationship out of the spotlight.

The film is part of the network’s “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” lineup that begins Saturday, Nov. 16.

The official synopsis teases that the film “follows Bowyn, a popular musician and celebrity, who, despite always singing about love and relationships, has yet to find Mr. Right. Her fame and busy filming schedule make dating nearly impossible, but when she meets Drew , a professional soccer player, backstage at his performance with his niece, there is an undeniable spark between the two.”

But their relationship is not easy considering their fame. As they grow closer, they face challenges like their “busy schedules” and “people questioning whether their feelings for each other are real or just for show.”
