Taylor Swift continued the UFO theme as she celebrated her success at the 2024 MTV VMAs.
On Wednesday, September 11, the musician — who won seven trophies at the VMAs, making her the most decorated artist in the awards’ history with a total of 30 people on the moon — was pictured heading to Electric Lady Studios in New York for an after party.
After wearing a beaded Monse minidress with a UFO design on the front during the ceremony, Swift, 34, was then photographed heading to the after party wearing a similarly styled ensemble.
The “Bejeweled” hitmaker wowed in a UFO-patterned tapestry boyfriend jacket by the same designer, which she teamed with an asymmetrical matching mini skirt and an alien-print corset in the same style.

Swift added a bit of height with a pair of chunky black knee-high boots and wore smoky eye make-up, completing the glamorous look with her signature red lipstick. Post Malone and Sabrina Carpenter were also among the celebrities who attended the star-studded gathering.
The UFO theme is apparently a reference to the singer’s hit “Down Bad” from her latest album, Department for tortured poets.
Speaking on iHeartRadio in April, Swift revealed that the lyrics to “Down Bad” are about “love bombing,” comparing it to abandonment and alien abduction.
“It’s like this girl was abducted by aliens, but she wanted to stay with them,” she explained. “And then when they drop her back in her hometown, she’s like, ‘Wait, no. Where are you going? I loved it there; it was weird, but it was great. Come back.’ ”
Swift wore multiple outfits to Wednesday’s ceremony. She was previously pictured on the red carpet wearing a vampy Dior look consisting of a yellow check bustier top and attached skirt. She added a pair of black velvet hot pants, caged leather gloves and a pair of Maverick thigh-high boots by Stuart Weitzman to complete the ensemble.

Swift definitely had reason to celebrate on Wednesday night, as she overtook Beyoncé to win the most VMA awards ever. ( Cowboy Carter artist, 43, who previously held the record with 25 wins by a solo artist.)
While accepting the coveted honor for video of the year for her song “Fortnight,” which features Malone, 29, Swift gave a shout-out to boyfriend Travis Kelce, explaining that he was the light source on set, making it “the most fun video to make.” ”
“Something I’ll always remember is when I’d finish the take and say, ‘Cut,’ I’d always just hear somebody cheer like, ‘Wow,’ on the other side of the studio where we were shooting it. That one person is my boyfriend, Travis.” Swift recalled.
“Everything this man touches turns into happiness, fun and magic, so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that,” she added.
