Taylor Swift Donates $250,000 to Kansas City Educational Center — and Its Kids Thank Her in Cute Video: ‘Means the World’

‘Tis the time to give back — and Taylor Swift is getting into the spirit!

The “Clara Bow” singer, 35, recently donated a quarter of a million dollars to Operation Breakthrough, which her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, also significantly supported.

On Saturday, Dec. 21, the Education Center, an organization that works to improve the educational environment for children in Kansas City, thanked Swift on Xu (formerly of Twitter) for her $250,000 donation with a video tribute dedicated to her for “making our holiday the season even brighter.”

“Your kindness and thoughtful donation of 250k means the world to our children and families,” they continued in the video’s description.

The video began with the little girl saying, “Thank you, Taylor!” while she was making a heart with her hands. It then cut to a shot of Lego toys placed in the shape of Swift’s face on white paper and a child holding a sign that said, “Thank you.”

Other children and teenagers thanked the singer throughout the video, including a boy wearing a red Kansas City Chiefs hat who said, “Thank you Taylor, we all love you.” The video ended with one little girl thanking Swift for “making all our wildest dreams come true.”

The organization is a particular favorite of Kelce and shared some statistics from his work with Operation Breakthrough earlier this month, including that they were able to serve 400 students a year thanks to his and others’ donations. They also noted that they were able to open 10 labs and teach students nearly two dozen industrial skills.

The winner of 14 Grammys not only supports her boyfriend’s work off the court, but on it as well. Swift was spotted attending the Chiefs game against the Houston Texans on December 21st.

Swift walked through Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium to support her significant other wearing a long red Charlotte Simone winter coat and black pants, which she teamed with a black fur hat.

The game is the first she has attended since November 29. Swift recently wrapped up her record-breaking Eras Tour, playing her final show in Vancouver on December 8.

After the tour ended, the Chiefs tight end threw the musician a surprise party to celebrate the success of the tour, which began in March 2023 and visited dozens of cities around the world.

Kelce wore a suit from Department for tortured poets skit, while Swift rocked a black dress with silver details. He even presented her with a “22” hat, replicating the beloved moment from her concerts, in which she gave the hat to a child at each stop.

Partygoers wore light-up concert and friendship bracelets that were scattered around the tables to match their Eras Tour-inspired outfits.
