Taylor Swift Performs Surprise Mashup of Three ‘1989’ Songs at 89th Eras Tour Show

At her 89th performance on the Eras Tour, the “Style” singer, 34, performed a surprise medley of three songs from 1989 (Taylor Version) to a sold-out crowd at Sweden’s Friends Arena in Stockholm on Saturday, May 18.

Fans shared videos on X (formerly Twitter) by Swift in an orange dress playing an acoustic mix — by “Welcome to New York”, “Clean” and the vault song “Say Don’t Go” — on the piano.

Several fans praised the singer for her song choices, including one who wrote on X that the medley is “nothing less than a love letter to her fans.” The fan added: “She’s asking us to never leave. The lights may be bright, but they will never blind her. With us, she can finally be clean.”

Swift returned to the stage in Sweden after being spotted on a romantic vacation in Lake Como, Italy, with boyfriend Travis Kelce during a break between Eras Tour shows. The couple was spotted touring the city on a boat, taking late night walks, hugging and kissing.

“The first night they went for a long walk around the lake late at night [between 11 and midnight],” a source told PEOPLE of Swift and Kelce, 34. “It was very romantic. Sometimes they would walk hand in hand. They would also exchange a kiss every now and then.”

This weekend, Swift will wrap up her third and final Eras Tour show in Stockholm on May 19 before traveling to a show in Lisbon, Portugal the following weekend.

The European leg of Swift’s tour is much different than her previous concerts in the US and Latin America, as she added a leg covering her new Department for tortured poets album. With the addition of new songs from her 11th album, she dropped some music previously seen on tour, including “The Archer,” “Long Live,” “The 1,” “The Last Great American Dynasty,” “Tolerate It” and “It’s the damn season.”

New songs added to the set list include “But Daddy I Love Him,” “So High School,” “Down Bad,” “Fortnight,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” and “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”

The European leg of the Eras Tour is set to return to France in Lyon and tour the UK before heading to Dublin at the end of June.

Swift will continue to perform in Europe throughout the summer before wrapping up in London in August and returning to North America for a series of concerts in Toronto, Vancouver and the United States.
