Taylor Swift Performs Tortured Poets Department Title Track Live for First Time as Eras Tour Hits Portugal

Taylor Swift wowed the crowd in Portugal with some new — and old — surprise songs!

The “So High School” singer, 34, performed her second show on the Eras Tour at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal on Saturday, May 25. Swifties in attendance (and online) waited with bated breath to see which songs the pop star would perform her traditional “surprise” songs — and she definitely delivered.

In a video shared on social media by a Swift fan account, the singer can be seen performing an acoustic guitar medley of “The Tortured Poets Department,” the title track of her record-breaking new album, for the first time, along with “Now When We Don’t Talk.” from 1989 (Taylor Version) vault.

Later in the show, Swift unveiled another surprise combo, this time sitting at her piano — which was decorated with painted flowers — to sing “You’re on Your Own Kid,” a fan favorite Midnightand “Long Live,” one of her early tracks from the 2010 record Speak now.

Meanwhile, Swift’s Super Bowl-winning boyfriend, Travis Kelce, remained in the US — though he was stopping by Europe, including Italy, to spend some time with her during this leg of the Eras Tour. While Swift was performing in Portugal on Saturday night, Kelce, 34, attended the Dallas Stars hockey game against the Edmonton Oilers. The Texas team filmed the NFL star talking to friends in a private lodge.

Swift’s performances in Portugal come days after her record-breaking tour was cut short in Stockholm, Sweden, where the “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” singer had a very glaring wardrobe malfunction during her third show in the city on May 19.

“Talk to each other,” Swift says in a fan-made TikTok video, before appearing to struggle with her blue wrap dress, partially unbuttoning it to reveal the shiny gold bra top she’s wearing during Department for tortured poets part of the show. A crew member eventually came on stage to help her with a clothing issue, which may also have been related to her microphone.

In between performing to sold-out European audiences, Swift made time for a romantic getaway with Kelce on Italy’s Lake Como, where the pair captured memories on a rainy day on a boat for their final day at the favorite celebrity getaway on May 17.

She was wearing a dark raincoat when the boat docked near the village of Bellagio, where the couple enjoyed a meal at the Locanda La Tirlindana restaurant.
