Taylor Swift Releases Limited Edition Cardigan in Honor of ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’

Taylor Swift is making sure all her fans stay warm during the holiday season!

The pop superstar, 33, launched a limited edition cardigan in honor of the highly anticipated release on Friday 1989 (Taylor’s version).

Swifties will notice that the light blue button-up cardigan draws inspiration from the album cover, with a seagull design embroidered on the back and cream stripes around the collar and hem.

The garment also has “1989” embroidered on the front left chest and a small rectangular patch with the initials “TS” sewn on at the bottom. It is made of 55% polyester material and 45% acrylic fabric.

It’s available for pre-order on Swift’s website for $69.89 while supplies last or until 1:59 PM ET on Monday. While fans can expect the cardigan to ship around December 15th, the website notes that there may be delays.

The release of the singer’s album was announced in August during her last show in Los Angeles for the Eras tour. The reissue comes nine years after she first dropped the original crossover pop album and includes five previously unreleased tracks.

Following her announcement, she opened up about why the re-release is special to her in an Instagram post.

To be completely honest, this is my FAVORITE re-recording I’ve ever done because the 5 tracks of From The Vault are so crazy. I can’t believe they were ever left. But not for long! Order in advance 1989 (Taylor Version) on my page 🩡😎🩡.”

The “Bad Blood” singer expressed similar sentiments while celebrating her release on Friday.

“I was born in 1989, reinvented for the first time in 2014, and a part of me was brought back to 2023 with the re-release of this album I love so much. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine the magic you would sprinkle over my life for so long,” she wrote as part written notes shared on Instagram.

Swift’s fans can also celebrate the album’s re-release by watching the concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tourwhich hit theaters on October 12. The film grossed $92.8 million in ticket sales during its three-day weekend and Thursday night run, making it the fifth-highest opening in theaters this year.
