Young Scooter's Cause of Death Revealed After Rapper Dies on His 39th Birthday

• Young scooter, born Kenneth Edward Bailey, died on Friday, March 28, after a police chase in Atlanta, the authorities confirmed
• On Tuesday, April 1st, the Fulton District Medical examiner published Repera’s cause of death, confirming that he died of “penetrating right thigh injury”
• Officers said they were “helping a man” after being injured in a “short chase after his foot” but later declared a deceased

The cause of the young scooter was discovered after the rapper in Atlanta died on his 39th birthday.

On Friday, March 28, at about 17:23 local time, officials “responded to 273 William Nye Drive compared to the dispute with possible shootings,” and the man allegedly escaped from the scene, the Atlanta Police Directorate (APD) said in an initial incident.

After suffering a leg injury in a “short pursuit of his foot”, the police said they were “helping”, but that the man was later declared a deceased.

The person has since been identified as a scooter, born Kenneth Edward Bailey, who died the same day he was 39 years old.

On Tuesday, April 1st, the Fulton District Medical examiner published Repera’s cause of death, confirming that he had died of “penetrating right thigh injury”, judging the way of death.

“Mr. Bailey sustained a penetrating injury to the right thigh that created a pronounced blood loss. This injury was not a firearm wound. Mr. Bailey injured himself on organic (wooden) fencing and/or wooden debris after showing at least one fence in a statement,” the statement said.

APD also confirmed that the rapper, signed for Future and Waka Flock Flame, did not die of a firearm wound in the news update on Tuesday.

“The Atlanta Police Directorate is aware of inaccurate comments and posts on social media regarding the death of Kenneth Bailey. Although we understand that many people are sad because of his passing, it is important to recognize that Atlanta police officers did not fire the firearm or use any force against Mr. Bailey,” the police said.

Police officers said earlier in the edition to “seek the help of the public in identifying a female caller 911 related to the incident.”

“The Atlanta Police Directorate has received a 911 call on a domestic dispute involving a shooting at a home on William Nye Drive,” said the Georgia Investigation Office (GBI) in a statement from March 29.

APD then confirmed on Tuesday that Demetria Spence, 31, was detained and that “she was accused of transferring false public alarm.”

“Mrs. Spence was sought because of her involvement in referring to the fake call 911 regarding the injured/deceased incident that occurred in 273 William Nye Drive on March 28, 2025.

After the news of Scooter’s death, they appeared on the net, it seemed that Waka Flock paid tribute to the late rapper on his Instagram stories, writing: “The street, you cried me before my show … you backbone … lady beard.”

The Playboi Carti rapper responded on his Instagram stories, writing “SMFH”, while Quavo wrote on X “ION understanding”, with a video of a scooter that performs and emojis with broken heart and prayer hands.

The Atlanta Police Directorate did not immediately respond after people contacted them for additional information.
