Taylor Swift broke a new record over the king of rock ‘n’ roll.
The “Anti-Hero” singer, 34, has now surpassed Elvis Presley as the solo artist with the most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with the release of her latest album 1989 (Taylor version)Billboard reported on Sunday.
Swift spent 68 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, beating Presley, who logged 67 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 chart across his 10 albums between 1956 and 2002.
She first topped the Billboard charts with the release of her Fearless album, which spent 11 weeks at No. 1 between 2008 and 2009, according to Billboard. Then she continued with her albums Speak now, Red, in 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Forever and Midnight, which added an additional 47 weeks at the top.

Swift’s cover albums also helped her make history. Fearless (Taylor Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), Speak Now (Taylor Version) and 1989 (Taylor version) added 10 more No. 1s for Swift atop the Billboard 200.
While Swift may have surpassed the “Hound Dog” singer, she still has a long way to go before she can surpass the Beatles, who spent 132 weeks at No. 1 across their 19 albums between 1964 and 2001.
Last month, the Grammy winner made history by tying Drake for the most Billboard music awards of all time after taking home 10 BBMAs during the Nov. 19 ceremony.

“Well, this is unreal,” Swift said in a pre-recorded speech while on the road for her Eras Tour. “The fact that you gave me 10 Billboard Awards – I’m giving a special shout out to the fans. None of this is happening without you.”
She went on to thank her fans, saying, “Billboards is all about what you listen to and what you’re passionate about, and I’m so honored that you guys made The Eras Tour so magical this year. You went and saw the movie, whatever you cares about my retakes. I just, like, love you so much.”
The “Karma” singer has been a huge success with her Eras Tour, which kicked off in Arizona in March before kicking off a 35-show run that ended in Los Angeles in August. The “Lavender Haze” singer has since done a run of four shows in Mexico City, marking her first time performing in the country, before wrapping up her 2023 tour in Argentina and Brazil in November.
Following the hype from the tour, Swift also released Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour film, which opened with a blockbuster box office haul of $92.8 million in the US, making it the fifth-biggest opening of any theatrical release this year.
