Taylor Swift’s Makeup Artist Finally Shared Her Go-To Lipstick Shade, and of Course It’s Already Sold Out

In the world of beauty, there are rarely topics that are the subject of conversation like Taylor Swift’s favorite lipstick.

Bold lips have been in the 34-year-old pop star’s style DNA for years, but her glamor crew have largely kept the details of her makeup routine under wraps, leaving beauty editors and Swifties alike deciphering all just to find out what product Swift is using.

That is, until now.

On October 1st, Swift’s makeup artist Lorrie Turk (who has also worked with Reese Witherspoon and Sadie Sink) decided to jump into her Instagram Stories to reveal exactly which lip product Swift has been loving for “years.”

And it happens to be Nars’ The Original Lipstick in the shade Morocco.

That’s right, the $26 matte cinnamon-red shade is a staple of the Grammy winner’s rotation, so much so that she’s been wearing it on her recent outings.

According to the beauty expert, Swift wore the purple shade for her appearances at the 2024 MTV VMAs — where she rocked a glamorous look — and at the Sept. 5 football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.

In addition to providing gorgeous lip color, the lipstick is also made with a lightweight, long-wearing formula that makes it great for, say, a fun awards show or hours cheering on your NFL star boyfriend (we’re looking at you, Travis Kelce).

Unfortunately, the lipstick is sold out on the Nars website. Luckily, there are six more shades to buy from the collection.

Plus, Swift’s favorite shade is available in a creamy $20 Air Matte Lip Color version, which still delivers the same dreamy effect but is applied with a doe-foot applicator rather than a traditional lipstick.

For those of you wondering what bold red lipstick Swift has been sporting lately (including the kiss-proof gem she was photographed wearing at the Kansas City Chiefs AFC Championship), Turk has yet to confirm those details.

However, Prof there is she previously raved about shades like Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl, MAC Cosmetics Retro Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo, and Sephora Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in Always Red.

Swift also proved she’s a fan of Pat McGrath Labs, the brand founded by legendary makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath, who Swift worked with for her “Bejeweled” music video.

At the time, McGrath said Allure that she envisioned “sparkly, sparkly and sparkly” makeup.
