Taylor Swift’s Mashup of ‘The Prophecy’ and ‘This Love’ Has Fans Thinking It Was a Sweet Nod to Travis Kelce in Crowd at Eras Tour

Did Taylor Swift give her boyfriend Travis Kelce a sweet nod on stage?

While performing her Eras Tour performance at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Saturday, Nov. 2, Swift, 34, sang a medley of “This Love” from in 1989 and “Prophecy” from Department for tortured poets with her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend, 35, in the audience.

The lyrics to “Prophecy” show Swift hopelessly recalling her past attempts at relationships and pleading with a higher power to help her find love. In the song, he sings: “Let it be me for once / With whom I have to talk / About that can I repeat / Prophecy?”

According to a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Swift changed the lyrics of her ballad “This Love” — which is about the ups and downs of falling in love — from “These hands had to let it go / and this love came back to me” to “These are hands had to free him / and that changed the prophecy.”

Fans in the audience noticed the slight change in the lyrics and suggested it was a romantic gesture towards Kelce that emphasized how he changed her view of love. “Taylor sings a prophecy with Travis there … before she found her soulmate now,” one fan wrote on Xu.
