A SCHOOL teacher accused of having sex with two pupils sobbed in court today as she revealed she had lost custody of her child.
Rebecca Joynes, 30, allegedly had sexual relations with two students – including one who got her pregnant – Boy A and Boy B.

This morning she was seen arriving at Manchester Crown Court holding a blue notebook and pen with her father.
The 30-year-old was also spotted wearing something pink up her sleeve.
The court heard today that the girl was “taken away” from her and is now being looked after by her teenage father.
Joynes reportedly started a relationship with the boy – known as Boy B – while he was still at school when she became “lonely” following the break-up of a nine-year relationship.
The defendant testified today and admitted to the court that she started texting Boy B after she had already been arrested and suspended in October 2021 – on charges related to the first boy, Boy A.
Joynes told the jury that Boy B had added her on WhatsApp and she believed he “genuinely cared” about her welfare.
She denied that their relationship quickly turned into a sexual relationship after she allegedly sent him a photo of her ass, and he told her: “Get your pussy out.”
They are said to have had sex for the first time after the boy went to her flat to watch Manchester United v Middlesbrough in the FA Cup in February 2022.
Joynes denied this and said she initially saw the boy as her “best friend”, although he later joked about their meeting, sending her a message saying he had “left school” with a “smiley face” emoticon.
She admitted that they eventually had sex after she was fired from her job in July 2022. It is claimed that they had sex around 30 times.
The jury heard she became pregnant with boy B – breaking the news to him during a “date night” in her flat.
She gave him the growth – and in January she had a baby girl.
But Joynes became emotional during today’s court proceedings as she revealed the child was “taken away from me 24 hours after it was born” and was only allowed limited contact.
Boy B is now looking after the child, the court heard.
Joynes is also charged with two counts of sexual activity with Boy A, who was 15 when she first “groomed” him, the court heard on Thursday.
The teacher allegedly bought him a Gucci belt worth £345 before driving him home in her white Audi where they had sex twice.
Boy A claimed Joynes laughed and told him to “shut up” when he mentioned his age to her, the court heard.
The couple then allegedly returned to her apartment and had unprotected sex.
Joynes claimed the boy’s behavior became increasingly “flirtatious” towards her, but admitted she should never have allowed him to start texting her.
“I was really stupid and I shouldn’t have done that,” she told the court.
She said she agreed to stay at her apartment after shopping, but insisted he sleep on the couch.
Joynes said the schoolboy told her: “I think you know what I want to do now.”
But she said she made it clear that she would not have sex.
“I tried to explain that I had been in a nine-year relationship and I had really struggled with breaking up and I wasn’t the type of person to go around sleeping with people,” she told the court.
She added that she should not have contacted boy A and that she “definitely” should not have taken him to her apartment, but she was “lonely” and “responded” to the attention she paid to her.
A police investigation was launched in October 2021, and Joynes was subsequently arrested and released on bail on the condition that she not contact any children under the age of 18.
Joynes denies two counts of sexual activity with Boy A, two counts of sexual activity with Boy B and two counts of sexual activity with Boy B while in a position of trust.
The trial continues.
