Brendan Hunt is a father of two!
The Ted Lasso star (51) and his fiancee Shannon Nelson welcomed their second child together. The couple confirmed the news on Monday via social media.
Both parents uploaded the photos to Instagram, sharing many of the same cute pictures but adding their own heartfelt captions.
Hunt announced that Archibald Felix Nelson Hunt was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Friday, ahead of schedule because he “wanted to come back three days early.”
The newborn, who is “in perfect health, has already been nicknamed ‘Archie'” and has already had an eventful first few days, according to his father.
“He met his brother and grandmother and even watched his first Arsenal game,” the actor continued in his caption.
“Meet Archie Felix Nelson Hunt. Born roaring on Friday 1/3/24. at 23:06. 9 lbs 3.4oz and 21 inches long,” Nelson captioned her feed.
“Your mum and dad, big brother Seanie and Lucy 😻 are so in love and so happy you decided to join us so our family hugs will only get stronger. I love you my sweet baby🩵🩷,” she added.
The couple are already parents to a 2-year-old son, Sean.

Ted Lasso‘s Brendan Hunt is expecting baby no. 2 with fiancee Shannon Nelson: ‘Incubating a few things’
Hunt, best known for his role as Coach Beard on the Apple TV+ series, and Nelson recently got engaged, announcing that he proposed to his girlfriend on his Instagram just days after the season 3 finale Ted Lasso broadcasted.
“The magnificent @snoopshann, so rarely photographed in her natural habitat, captured here in the act of saying ‘I do,'” he captioned a picture of Nelson grinning from ear to ear while showing off a sparkling emerald ring. Fans and friends of the couple, including Anika Noni Rose, Amanda Kloots and Kay Cannon, flocked to the comments section to express their well wishes.
Nelson also raved about the engagement, sharing the same photo and selfie with Hunt on her own Instagram page.
“We are a family,” she wrote. “A beautiful wonderful family and will be forever. Some people assumed that we had already done it, but the truth is that we had other priorities in becoming a family. I am fine with that now. I have to marry this wonderful man. I have to call him my husband and to be his wife, and I am the luckiest.❤️”

Although the two don’t often post about each other, they still take time to share special moments with Sean. “I’m so excited to watch each day as Sean discovers what a jackpot he hit by getting you to be his dad. This is a life of Father’s Days and some that may even give you more sleep. We love you so much!” wrote Nelson in a sweet message to Hunt for his first Father’s Day 2021.
She echoed similar sentiments when she celebrated Ted Lassoseason 3 finale with a series of Instagram photos from the shoot.
“Special love to our Beard who creates magic wherever he goes,” she wrote. “TL#2 and his mom are so proud of you and what you’ve helped to do. Tonight/tomorrow we say goodbye to Nelson Rd. and can’t wait for what’s next.”
