In the episode “Engagement,” fans get a glimpse of what other Tamaranians are like as the team travels to Starfire’s homeworld for her wedding. Among their distinguishing features, a notable one is that all Tamarani wear the same purple and silver color scheme.
However, Blackfire’s costume is black and silver. While it’s strange to see all the citizens of the same society, even the aliens, wearing color-coordinated outfits, it’s even stranger that Blackfyre doesn’t have an actual Tamaranean outfit.
How did she receive Starfire’s communication?
In “Sisters,” viewers learned that Starfire had “talked about Titans in her comms” with Blackfire before coming to Earth. However, for this to happen, the two must remain on friendly terms. This seems odd because, as revealed in the Teen Titans Origins episode, Blackfire attempted to trade Starfire to the Goldanians.One would think that being sold into slavery would make it less likely think Talk to the people who are trying to sell them into slavery.
Why does Blackfire understand Earth’s culture so well?
A recurring gag in the series is Starfire’s painfully funny misunderstanding of Earth customs. Despite living on Earth for a considerable amount of time, Starfire appears to have no social understanding of Earth slang or culture throughout the series. However, while Blackfire remains on Earth, she seems to act just like the other locals, knowing all the hot topics in society, such as the parties she drags the Titans to. It makes one wonder how she became so familiar with Earth?
Why does she look so different from the other Tamarix people?
Although Starfire and Blackfire looked very similar, Centaur police mistakenly believed that Starfire for Blackfire, their appearance is significantly different. Starfire has gorgeous red hair and green eyes (iris and sclera), while Blackfire has beautiful black hair and black eyes (black irises and white sclera).
It’s one thing for Blackfire to look completely different from her sister, but what about looking completely different from other Tamaranians who share the same genetic traits as Starfire? Very strange.

Why didn’t she join the Brotherhood of Evil?
Of the main villains of the series, the top ones seem to be the Brotherhood of Evil. In the epic battle of Season 5, the Brotherhood begins recruiting all the major villains to join their team. Everyone except Blackfyre. One thing fans know for sure is that Blackfyre loves power. Why doesn’t she align herself with the most powerful man on Earth, if not the universe? If the Brotherhood of Evil is so evil, why haven’t they joined the Blackfyre yet?
Where was she during the final battle?
Despite being loved by fans teen titans, Blackfire only appears in two episodes: “Sisters” and “The Engagement”. So while the final showdown featured evil heavyweights like the Brotherhood of Evil and the Red Lady, Blackfire barely made a squeak, either in name or in person. Avoiding the final battle just doesn’t make sense for Blackfire, both from a narrative perspective and from a character perspective. In addition to thriving on chaos, Blackfire isn’t the type to turn down a fight with his sister.
