He explained: “This is the look of a man who hasn’t slept for 6 nights and is waiting for a full body MRI scan of at least an hour. If you haven’t had one, they are claustrophobic and claustrophobic and make loud random noises. Joy.

“Mind the attempted joke not on my dress! I expect to be out on India News all 195!”

His followers went out of their way to wish him well, with one writing: “You got this Jonnie.”

Another posted: “Good luck lovely Jonnie.”

The third said, “All the positive thoughts of this world come to you.”

Earlier this week, Jonnie admitted he was embracing alternative options to allow him to feel “empowered” during his battle with lung cancer.

Jane McLelland, author of How to Cure Cancer, gave Jonnie personal nutritional advice in an attempt to help him through his struggles.

Speaking about how positive Jane’s help and advice has been, Jonnie said on his podcast: “I just think the work you’re doing is so important because if I just listened to the forecast they keep giving me, I’d be curling up curling up and cry to death.

“But I feel a lot more empowered and educated. There is a sphere of help, and NHS help is a huge part of that sphere, but there are also little things that I can do.

“Look at this – I’m in there for at least an hour a day and I have to come in later [a hyperbaric oxygen chamber].”

As part of his new treatments, Jonnie said he’s “doing oxygen, vitamin C” to achieve greater benefits.

Podcast host Jane then chimed in about the physical benefits of the practice: “Intravenous vitamin C so it bypasses the gut and doesn’t cause diarrhea.”

Insisting it made him feel “great”, the Channel 4 star said: “I feel great after that. I feel great after hyperbaric – I feel great after vitamin C.

“These things, if I was fit and well, I would try to use them anyway because I’m a lot more open-minded, probably because I have a gun to my head. And that’s a rich kaleidoscope of help that I’m following and will continue to do.”

Jane then revealed why she thought it was important to introduce alternative methods and medicines and how they could work alongside traditional NHS prescribed therapies.

She said: “You have to look for alternatives and you have to do your own research.

“There is always a misconception that anyone who provides information for a different form of treatment is encouraging people to abandon conventional treatment.

“I’m very ‘let’s put everything together – cocktails, combinations like you already mentioned.

“We have to find the right cocktails and combinations, and that’s really lacking in our current approach.”

In a major boost, Jonnie admitted he feels like the new treatments have added “weeks and months” to her terminal prognosis and given him physical relief from some of his previous symptoms.

He told Jane: “At the very least you’re giving people hope, and as a patient that can add weeks and months.

“A positive attitude buys you days and weeks… I had jaundice, but I think I’m coming out of it now.”

Jonnie has defied the odds since being given just six months to live after being told his cancer had spread to his brain in August 2020.

Since his diagnosis, the presenter has said that he wants to spend as much time as possible with his family. He shares three-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac with his wife Jess, as well as their five-year-old son Rex.

Jonnie has been undergoing treatment to prolong his life and recently shared a few snaps of him living life to the fullest.

This includes enjoying a drink in his local pub and taking Rex to their local panto, which was Pinocchio. “Rex was in stitches,” he commented afterwards on social media.
