TESCO shoppers are ‘totally gutted’ as the supermarket scraps its savings scheme ahead of Christmas.
The popular scheme has been around for years and users now have just a few weeks to spend their money.

Tesco customers are “depressed” that the savings scheme has been scrapped
The scheme meant that customers could collect savings “stamps” throughout the year which they could then use to buy items in store in December.
However, the supermarket giant announced that it would end the initiative at the beginning of the year, with the last day to buy stamps being October 16.
Customers who have the stamps can do so until December 31, and they can also be exchanged for a Tesco gift card at the tills.
Some customers are not happy about the change and have taken to social media to vent their frustration.
One person said she was “absolutely gutted” by the change.
They added: “I’ve been saving stamps for years, they’ve always come in handy at Christmas. I have two full books and half a book”.
Another said: “A lot of people are saving stamps to help out at Christmas because it’s a big struggle at that time of year.
“Tesco should be helping people to make things less of a struggle”.
However, Tesco has a Christmas savings scheme where customers can convert points into vouchers through their Clubcard account.
It also allows users to deposit cash into their Christmas account and receive a bonus.
Customers using the Clubcard Christmas Saver can get a £1.50 bonus if they save £25-£49.99 and up to £12 on £200 or more.
Vouchers and the money you pay into the savings account last for two years, while the bonus in special vouchers expires after two months.
It comes after Tesco issued a warning to its customers to use up any Clubcard points they have or risk losing them forever.
The supermarket chain said £16m worth of Clubcard points were due to expire after November 30.
The points, which were first issued in November 2021, must be used within two years.
How does the Tesco Clubcard scheme work?
The Tesco Clubcard scheme allows customers to earn points as they shop, which can then be converted into food vouchers or other partner reward schemes.
Every time you spend £1 in store and online, you get one point when you scan your card or app.
Drivers who use Clubcard cards now receive one point for every two liters of fuel consumed.
One point equals 1 pence, so 150 points earn £1.50, for example.
You will need at least 150 points to claim the voucher.
These vouchers can be worth a face value to spend in store at Tesco or you can double their value to spend at reward partners including restaurants and on days out.
Loyalty card holders can also get lower prices on more than 8,000 items thanks to Clubcard prices.
Tesco claims these Clubcard prices save the average member £351 on their annual purchases.
