The 10 Best Deals to Lock Down Before Nordstrom’s Fall Sale Ends, According to a Shopping Writer

At any given time, I’m probably writing, shopping, or writing about shopping. And one store I always browse for professional and, if I’m being honest, personal reasons is Nordstrom.

While the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale will always be in my heart — I have fond memories of shopping every year as a kid — the fall sale really makes me swoon. Overflowing with more than 28,000 items discounted up to 50 percent, it has everything my beauty and fashion shopper could want: designer lipsticks from Yves Saint Laurent and Armani Beauty and Pilates-perfect leggings from Alo Yoga worn by celebrities, plus Ugg slippers and “ sumptuous” cashmere sweater.

I’ve done my due diligence and come to the conclusion that these are the 10 best deals to buy before the sale ends on Monday, November 6th. The best part is that prices start at $7.

I’ve always enjoyed snuggling up in a warm sweater, especially since I grew up in Chicago with very cold winters. Thanks to that and my expertise as a shopping writer, I’ve learned how to spot a good one.

This crew-neck sweater from Nordstrom, for example, is available in 14 colors, comes in sizes XXS to XXL, and most importantly, it’s made from 100 percent cashmere. Marked down to $110, the sweater is “a wonderful everyday shoe,” according to one shopper, and “fits great and goes perfectly with jeans,” noted another. Also, the plunging necklines and overall simplicity are timeless, so I don’t see myself ever getting sick of it, really. And considering I’ve seen similar cashmere sweaters in the thousand dollar price range, I’m not dropping the ball on this one.

I never feel like I can wear red lipstick in the summer, but man, I love it in the fall and winter. It feels so good: crunchy leaves, juicy apples, and candy canes all go together, putting me in the fall and holiday spirit. And after doing some research, I fell for this stunningly vibrant one from Armani Beauty.

Marked down to $32, it’s more of a pure red, not a berry shade like this YSL lipstick (which I’m also obsessed with), and the formula has a matte finish, which will save my long hair from sticking to my lips when chatting and socializing. I also think it would make a great white elephant exchange gift, as it is a designer item and not overly expensive.

I’m also reaching for these red Alo Yoga leggings and this faux fur claw clip for my trips to the Pilates studio, plus these Tasman LTA slippers from Ugg — another celeb-worn brand — for a quick throw-on style post-workout. I’m also always in need of new brow products because I’m constantly trying to make mine look fuller.
