1975 fans can officially stop panicking.
While Matty Healy revealed his band will be going on an “indefinite hiatus” following their current tour earlier this week, he offered some reassurance to fans during their concert at the SAP Arena in San Jose on Thursday.
“I didn’t want to scare hardcore fans by insinuating that we were breaking up or anything like that,” Healy, 34, told the crowd during the band’s set at video posted by fans.
He added, “That’s not happening. Don’t worry about it.”
“It just needs to be very tight, full stop Still … At Their Very Best because somehow I still know what I’m doing, but part of me doesn’t,” he joked.

Healy originally announced the band’s upcoming break from their current tour during their show at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California on Tuesday.
According to a video posted by fansbefore the band performed their hit “Sex,” Healy let the crowd into the news.
“Thank you so much for coming — this tour is going to take us about six months. It’s crazy to think about it. We always love to … play for you whenever we get a chance. It’s great to have you all here,” he told the crowd. “After this tour, we’ll be going on an indefinite hiatus between shows, so it’s great to have you with us tonight. Thank you so much.”
