The free Amazon streaming service has a huge collection of classic and new movies
Amazon Freevee is another streaming service to add to the roster — but without breaking the bank.
The platform emerged after Amazon launched a free online video channel IMDb Freedive in 2019, and it was rebranded to IMDb TV shortly after. Three years later, Amazon overhauled the streamer, giving it the new name Freevee and promising to add more original content on top of its already robust library of shows and movies.
While Freevee has earned recognition for its original shows, like the Emmy-nominated Jury Duty, it also has a large collection of films, both classic and contemporary, spanning every genre. The ad-supported streaming service offers the Academy Award-winning flick Promising Young Woman to the classic rom-com The Graduate and the category-defining supernatural work The Blair Witch Project.
Freevee is a notable option for viewers who don’t want to pay for a streaming service and don’t mind quick ad breaks. Apart from being available through a web browser and a smartphone app, it can also be downloaded on smart TVs, mobile devices and gaming consoles.
Here are 30 must-watch movies on Amazon Freevee.
