Acolyte Episode 5 just revealed the identity of a mysterious Sith Lord, which could break Star Wars canon. After multiple blows to the Sith’s helmet, it was revealed that Zimmer was actually the Sith Lord all along. This had been presumed to be true since Manny Jacinto’s character first appeared on screen, and the revelation was revealed in heartbreaking fashion, with Jackie Long’s (Dafne Keen) lifeless body initially obscuring Zimmer’s face.
When asked, Zmyr calls himself a Sith, which could cause problems in the future. AcolyteTheory holds that Acolyte Episode 5 says that this Sith Lord is not actually a Sith at all, but just a dark side user. Although it is certain that this Sith Lord is not called “Darth Chimire”, Acolyte Re-purpose the character as another Sith Lord that audiences have heard of before, or add a new name to the Sith Order.

The Jedi Now Know the Sith Are Alive

After being unmasked, Zimmer told Master Thor that he had revealed himself because Mai had exposed him. Since Thor and the other Jedi had seen his face, he had no choice but to kill them all. Thanks to Osha’s quick thinking, Thor and what he thought was Osha (but was actually May) escaped and returned to the Jedi’s ship. It is unclear what information, if any, was passed on to the other Jedi on Kfar before or during the battle with Zimmer.
Since Thor was able to survive, he likely revealed that the Sith survived. It is unclear whether he reported directly to Grandmaster Vernestra Rwoh, or directly to the Jedi High Council. When Qui-Gon Jinn encountered the Sith during Darth Maul Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menacehe reports directly to the Supreme Council. However, it has been established that Master Vernestra does not want to report to the Supreme Council because they must report to the Senate of the Republic – and then politics will come into play.
Thor and May have left Kofal… and are definitely heading to Coruscant
They will definitely tell the other Jedi and Sith

It’s unclear why May decided to return to Coruscant with Thor as a sister, but they both certainly knew about Zimierre’s identity and the fact that he was a Sith. It’s hard to imagine that news of a dark side user, let alone a Sith, wouldn’t spread quickly through the Jedi Temple. While it’s possible that Master Vernestra kept silent about these developments, it’s hard to imagine that she was the only Jedi who knew about them.
Whether or not Thor and May make it back to Coruscant, Master Vernestra has to explain the deaths of so many Jedi. It was easier to keep quiet when only Masters Indara and Tobin were murdered, but now that the death toll is around ten Jedi, it’s much harder to manage. May and Thor’s survival complicates a lot of things, not only because Chimire and the Sith were able to stay in the shadows, but also because it led to a Jedi massacre.

One theory is that Acolyte Will Chimire live to tell the tale and reveal that the Sith still exist. While that still seems to be Chimire’s idea, it may no longer be an achievable goal.
AcolyteThe final three episodes will have to resolve the question of whether the Jedi have discovered that the Sith have survived. If they do discover that they have, then it is crucial that Acolyte Fills in the blanks and shows the audience why the Jedi Council doesn’t remember this event The Phantom Menace.
