In the weeks that followed, the couple never had a second meeting, which prevented them from having the opportunity to meet at a deeper level, Alex said.

“I feel like I may not have divided so much after that because I was waiting for my hometowns to be the right time,” says Alexe, who sent home a week before Final Four brought Ellis to meet his family.

Looking back, she admits she doesn’t know if things would be different if she and Ellis had spent more time together.

“I would like to say that it probably wouldn’t have been able to do it no matter what, just because I may not have asked for what he was looking for and vice versa,” Alexe says before thinking why she hadn’t opened before.

“I wish I might not want to say regret because I am a great believer for everything to happen for a reason but maybe I would open up a little more,” she shares. “But I think I wanted to have more time, maybe not talking about ten minutes, to open myself a little more because I think it deserves it.”

“I think he had his mind on the girls who were really interested in him, and that wasn’t me,” she continues. “So I’m glad I didn’t share that part of myself because I’m a big cut and I have to learn to keep some things for the right people.”

I don’t give up, and he appreciated it. And the fact that the public answer is the same – I think it’s a big message just to be what you are and will shine. It doesn’t matter if there are cameras around you. ”
