World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, the latest expansion to Activision-Blizzard’s MMORPG, brings with it a brand-new playable race and class, i.e., the Dracthyr Evokers. Unlike other races in the game, the Dracthyr are singularly tied to one class, the Evoker, which in turn is exclusive to this new draconic race. Evokers can fulfill the role of DPS casters by choosing the Devastation specialization or can become healers by following the way of Preservation. Similarly to the Pandaren Monks, released in the Mists of Pandaria expansions, the Dracthyr Evokers will have the choice between the two factions in the game, Horde or Alliance.
Unlike other classes, Evokers start the game at level 58, allowing them to more easily reach the new level cap of 70 to tackle the challenging end-game content as soon as possible. World of Warcraft: Dragonflight also revamped the talent tree system to give players more freedom when customizing their builds. This system comprises two distinct talent trees, one tied to class and the other to specialization. As players level up, they will alternate in gaining points to spend in these trees, which often synergize with each other.
The Best Preservation Build
The Big Blossom build, as explained by Voulk in Wowhead, is the primary healing build that most players should use as a Preservation Evoker. The build primarily consists of using Living Flame to proc Essence Burst to make Emerald Blossoms, the bread, and butter of this build, a free cast. The Emerald Blossoms will heal up to three raid members in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, who in turn have a chance of creating even more Blossoms via Field of Dreams. For every three Blossoms created, players will also activate Cycle of Life, providing even more area-of-effect healing.
The Best Devastator Build
As explained by Preheat in Wowhead, the Feed the Flames build is the best DPS build for the Devastator Evoker. The priority in this build is to apply and maintain Fire Breath as much as possible to deal damage over time. Essence and Essence Bursts should be spent to cast Disintegrate, and Living Flame should be used as a filler. The two main cooldowns of this build are Dragonrage and Eternity Surge, which should be used on cooldown. If players are dealing with packs of enemies and wish to deal AOE damage with the Evoker in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, they should use Essence Bursts and Essence to cast Pyre instead of Disintegrate.
