UP Fake school news

UP Unrecognized Schools: The Uttar Pradesh government plans to take concrete action against unrecognized schools operating in the state. The government is mulling imposing a hefty fine of Rs 1 lakh on schools operating with prior approval. The state government has directed all the block officers to submit the list of anonymous unrecognized schools by November 22, 2023.

The Directorate of Primary Education has issued instructions to all primary education officers and tasked them to identify unregistered schools and take strict action. Schools without proper recognition or those that operate even after the authorization has been revoked will be fined. Block Education Officers will visit the allotted blocks and investigate the matter in detail.

The UP government will impose a fine of up to 1 lakh on unregistered schools

The state government has ordered that no school can be built or run without prior approval (as specified in the Free and Compulsory Education of Children Act). Violation of this rule can lead to a heavy fine of up to 1 lakh. Also, if the violation continues after the fine, violators will have to pay a daily fine of Rs 10,000 until compliance is confirmed.

The list of unrecognized schools should be submitted by November 22

All block education officers have been instructed to ensure that no unrecognized or unregistered schools are operating in their blocks. The list of schools with the necessary actions must be submitted to the director of elementary education by November 22, 2023.
