Grammy nominees are in for a treat on Sunday.
Ahead of Music’s Biggest Night, PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the red carpet redesign.
“The GRAMMY Awards are dedicated to honoring the creators and performers behind music and bringing the community together one night each year to celebrate their achievements. With the red carpet, we aim to match that feeling and ensure that the nominees feel the magic of Music’s Biggest Night as soon as they step on the carpet,” he says. Andie Cox, Vice President of Communications, Recording Academy. “This year’s design is a tribute to the creativity and artistry we honor at the GRAMMY Awards.”
This year’s design takes classic elements from years past and moves towards more modern motifs, but still pays homage to the Academy’s timeless elements.
To enhance the dimensional nature of the design, the Joe Lewis Company used different materials and color treatments to deepen the sense of dimensionality.

“The redesign was a great opportunity to add a contemporary twist to the classic GRAMMY red carpet look,” says Cox. “One of our staple pieces every year is our grand entrance facade on the red carpet. We knew it was something we wanted to keep, but we wanted to refresh it in a way that was new and exciting. It’s such an important part of the red carpet experience and The team at Joe Lewis did an incredible job bringing our vision to life.”
The music awards, where the Recording Academy annually honors the best in music, will take place on February 4 and will be hosted by Trevor Noah, marking his fourth consecutive year in the role.
Noah will be joined on stage by a stellar line-up of performers and hosts.
SZA, who has the most nominations this year, will perform live alongside other musical acts including Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo, while Oprah Winfrey, Christina Aguilera, Meryl Streep will help present the awards.
The Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on the CBS network beginning at 8:00 PM ET. (Be sure to read PEOPLE’s full coverage of the Grammys while you watch the show!)
