The Great British Baking Show’s Prue Leith Stuns Fans with Glamorous Throwback Photo

The Great British Baking Show’s Prue Leith has always had a style sensibility!

In a chic throwback photo shared by the British reality competition series on Instagram, the show’s judge, 84, casually leans over the bar, wearing a long elegant dress, extravagant earrings and a beehive hairstyle.

“Of course Prue looked this glamorous in the 1970s. #GBBO,” read the caption.

Several fans of the show took to the comments section, noting Leith’s glamorous looks, with more than a few identifying a resemblance between her and the late actress Natalie Wood.

“I look like a Bond girl 😍,” wrote one user. Another added: “She HAS to have interesting stories.”

“Woof! What a knockout! But she’s still as stunning today as she was in the 70s,” commented one user. Another wrote that he wanted to see photos of fellow judge Paul Hollywood.

While Leith looked sophisticated in the throwback pic, she revealed a less sophisticated moment in October.

In an October 15 Instagram video, she said it was challenging to find out how the late Queen Elizabeth preferred her tea.

“I had to serve our late queen a cup of tea,” she said. When they finally met, she asked, “Black or white, ma’am?”

“Black, please,” replied the queen. Leith then put the lemon in the teacup. As she poured the hot water, the queen said to her, “No lemon, thank you.”

But Leith said she didn’t drink a second for the cup. Then she tried to fill the queen’s cup with more hot water. “I thought people who like black tea tend to like weak,” Leith said. However, things went awry again when the Queen confirmed that she liked strong tea.

“She took weak tea with lemon when she wanted strong black tea,” said the restaurateur and author of the cookbook. “I’ve felt bad ever since, but there it is.”
