The guy was shocked when he saw 20 plush puppies in a crate on the side of the road

A good Samaritan was walking in Essex, England one afternoon when he saw an abandoned crate by the roadside. He was shocked to see who was in it. It’s full of cubs!

Not just one or two, but about twenty small dogs huddled together in a kennel. They waited in the hope that someone would take them home. The kind passenger knew he had to help and acted quickly. He reached out to the RSPCA hoping they could help. As expected, Spas immediately sent two inspectors to pick up the dogs and take them to the vet as soon as possible.

Sian Ridley, an inspector with the RSPCA, said in a press release that she thought he had misheard the number of puppies. He couldn’t believe someone abandoned 20 puppies. “They were all quite scared and timid when we arrived and it was heartbreaking to see them all cooped up in one cage – they looked pitiful,” he said.

Veterinarians discovered that they can come from many different litters. No one is sure of the breed, but they think some are poodle mixes. All of them are quite small, weighing less than a bag of sugar. Veterinarians are concerned that they may be sick. Fortunately, most of them are actually very healthy despite being abandoned.

Ridley is grateful to all the passengers who stayed behind to help them. And for the vets who were able to take care of them over the weekend in such a short amount of time. No one knows where they come from. Maybe they come from a puppy farm. Because there were so many of them, the rescue team decided to name them in alphabetical order.

Their names are Albert, Boris, Dylon, Elenor, Freddie, Guinevere, Hank, Irene, Jeremiah, Kaleb, Luna, Morris, Nevel, Oliver, Peter, Quinton, Rupert and Saffron. They appear to be 6-8 weeks old and are now growing up and learning to fit in with the playful puppy life.

Many of them have been provided with a home by veterinary staff. They are all currently in foster homes and will come to their permanent homes whenever they are ready to be adult puppies. All those involved in their rescue were shocked to find out how many people there were. Thankfully, they were found and will continue to live wonderful lives with wonderful families.

It is irresponsible and cruel to abandon these little puppies. If you can’t handle your pet well, it’s better to get help before things get desperate.
