The masked singer was thrown into chaos after Sunday Brunch host Simon Rimmer appeared to ‘leak’ that he was behind Dippy Egg.
The live on air blunder happened this morning during the Channel 4 show as he and co-host Tim Lovejoy interviewed Julia Sawalha.

Julia was revealed to be Bubble Tea during last night’s episode of the hit ITV guessing game.
But Simon, 60, seems to have got carried away during the conversation and left out that he is the mystery man behind the Dippy Egg mask.
The chef made the mistake after Julia admitted she had no idea what bubble tea was when she signed up to take part in the show.
Simon then interjected, “I always assumed you chose your own costumes because I know with me as Dippy…”

The host then stopped mid-sentence and let out an audible “Oooh!” before covering his mouth.
Julia looked shocked, pointed at him, then covered her own mouth in surprise.
“I think I gave it away then,” Simon added to Tim, who seemed indifferent to the chaos.
It is not clear whether Simon was joking about making a mistake or whether he did it on purpose to distract viewers from the smell.
The Sun approached ITV who declined to comment.
Fans have been speculating about Dippy Egg’s identity for weeks, with guesses ranging from James Martin to Stephen Mulhern.
Others also believe it could be soap star turned Strictly champion Kelvin Fletcher, while Dan Walker has also been mentioned as a potential undercover singer.
