The Mesh Ballet Flats Jennifer Lawrence Is a Fan of Are This Summer’s 'It' Shoe — and We Found a Lookalike Pair

If you invest in one pair of shoes for the summer, let them be mesh ballet flats. At least according to Jennifer Lawrence.

The Hunger Games alum was among the first to wear the shoe trend that you’re likely to see everywhere. In New York, she stepped out in a classic white t-shirt and jeans outfit with fishnet ballet flats — though that’s not the only iteration she owns. The Oscar winner then broke out another sheer pair in late January as she strolled through Los Angeles, wearing a sheer fishnet dress paired with her black fishnet shoes from last year.

While Lawrence’s flats are likely designer, we spotted a similar pair on Amazon that are currently only $47.

Similar to No anger stars, these shoes are made of mesh material and glossy faux leather, which combine into a stylish Mary Jane with silver hardware. This pair from Amazon is also available in eight shades, including red and tan.

Customers are equally impressed with the shoes, with one noting in his review that the shoes “[look] like a premium version” of this style and feel “comfortable and sturdy” despite their delicate appearance. Another reviewer recommends the shoes for anyone who wants to “get in on this trend but not spend a lot.”

Plus, Lawrence isn’t the only star to champion this shoe style. Zendaya recently wore the trendy style of ballet flats that are a Hollywood favorite between promotional events for her latest film Challengers.

While Lawrence has been a fan of the style for some time, New York fashion influencer Kelsey Kotzur chose fishnet ballerinas as a standout trend this season. And there’s even a celebrity-inspired cut you can recreate when styling them.

“Mesh flats are great with any outfit, but I love them with a pair of long, wide leg jeans [jeans] and a button-down blouse,” Kotzur tells PEOPLE. “It’s the wrong shoe theory in practice,” she adds, nodding to the unconventional styling tips popularized by stylist Allison Bornstein on TikTok.
