STEAMY lumps are a staple in Hollywood movies these days, but many seem to be leaving out one vital element – the female orgasm.
Nicole Kidman’s latest film, Babygirl, puts female pleasure at the fore when a woman embarks on an affair after discovering that her husband is not satisfying her sexually.

Meg Ryan faked an orgasm in the middle of a diner in When Harry Met SallyCredit: Rex
In fact, she had to orgasm so much for the film that she eventually got tired of orgasms.
The Oscar winner said: “It’s like, don’t touch me. There were moments when we were filming where I was like, I don’t want to have an orgasm anymore. Don’t come near me. I hate doing that.
“I don’t care if they never touch me again in my life!
“I got over it. It was so present to me all the time that it was almost like burning.”
Nicole continues the actresses who paved the way for the first female sexual pleasure films.
Here, The Sun looks back at some of the most memorable ‘Big O’s’ in cinema history.
When Harry met Sally
When Harry met Sally in the 1990s, he decided to tackle the idea that men can tell when women are faking an orgasm.
The romantic comedy memorably saw Sally, played by Meg Ryan, loudly fake orgasm while enjoying a sandwich opposite Harry, played by Billy Crystal.
He wants to prove him wrong after he claims he can tell when a woman is faking a climax – while she embarrasses him in a crowded diner.
As part of the fake orgasm, she moans, gasps, gasps and says “oh god” before hitting the table and yelling “yes”.

The performance prompted the immortal line of a fellow diner who jokes, “I’ll eat what she eats.”
American Pie
The comedy franchise American Pie mostly revolves around teenagers trying to get laid, but it featured a pivotal scene with a female character having her first orgasm.
Kevin, played by Thomas Ian Nicholas, never brought his girlfriend Vicky to climax in the 1999 film.

Natalie Portman’s character has a same-sex sexual awakening in the film
The 2010 psychological horror film features an unforgettable orgasm scene when Natalie Portman’s character Nina masturbates.
It depicts a ballerina finally awakening sexually after being incredibly infantilized by her mother.
The orgasm is so powerful that Nina begins to hallucinate that the tattoo on her rival’s back is moving.
But it comes to an abrupt end when she sees her mother, meaning Nina can no longer climax.
Fans of the film believe that the scene represents the character’s desire to break free from his mother’s control.

The teen comedy Easy A started a story about women who enjoy sex, which makes them whores.
Emma Stone’s character Olive was called a whore by religion students after she was believed to have had sex.
He makes the most of his shame by pretending to have sex with other high school students.
Her unforgettable fake orgasm scene sees her bouncing on the bed, moaning and then slamming into the wall.
She eventually accepts that sex doesn’t really matter and broadcasts the truth to her classmates.

They both feel comfortable telling each other exactly what they need to do to climax.
In one scene where Dylan gives her an oral speech, she tells him off about “trying to dig to China” before instructing him on exactly how he should do it.
The scene culminates with her screaming as she orgasms, thanks to his effort.
Interestingly, she doesn’t feel the need for instructions when returning the favor.

For years Halle has been dogged by rumors that she actually had sex on filmCredit: Check copyright
This bizarre film follows the romance between a prison officer and the wife of a criminal he executed – although he is unaware of the relationship.
Halle Berry, who plays Leticia, gives an impressive performance of orgasm during the sex scene with Billy Bob Thornton, who plays Hank Grotowski.
Her portrayal was so convincing that fans believed for years that the actors really had sex on set.
But that wasn’t the case and Halle eventually cleared up the rumors last year.
“There is an urban legend that we really fucked each other. I’ve heard that, but it’s just not true,” Halle said on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast. “It’s been secretly driving me crazy all these years.”

In a scene from the romantic comedy, Katherine Heigl’s character Abby wears vibrating panties to a business dinner.
But when the remote control for the sassy outfit falls into the hands of a child, who has no idea what it is, he wakes up to the intensity, and she struggles to stay professional as she climaxes.
It all came down to a bet with colleague Mike, played by Gerard Butler, to help her find a boyfriend.
Fortunately for Abby, none of the people she’s talking to seem to understand what’s going on – and only praise the enthusiasm of her speech.
Babygirl review
By Dulcie Pearce, The Sun’s film critic
HER recent roles seem to confirm that Nicole Kidman has acted.
From Big Little Lies to The Perfect Couple, Nicole has always played a rich, successful mother with a seemingly idyllic life.
So I approached Babygirl with some trepidation, starring Kidman as Romy, a successful executive who looks flawless, loves her family and has a beautiful home.
But within the first few minutes I realized I needn’t have worried – because I haven’t seen the Oscar-winning actor like this since 1999’s sexy thriller Eyes Wide Shut.
The opening scene shows Romy and husband Jacob (Antonio Banderas) in the heat of passion. Romy seems to be having a great time with her beloved husband.
But we quickly realize she’s acting when she rushes into the other room while he’s asleep to watch porn and, well, she takes care of it herself.
You see, Romy is a control freak.
Every minute of her life is ordered and perfectly structured – including her sex life.
Which is not fun at all.
Soon, a new, young intern, Samuel (Harris Dickinson), turns her head.
He is fearless, with an unusually intoxicating confidence, and difficult to read.
Romy is fascinated by him and he knows it – he told her on one of their first dates: “I think you like to be told what to do”.
An intense and erotic affair begins, and Samuel takes Romy to places she has never been before.
Both physically and literally.
She frequents hideous hotels and illegal raves just to be near him.
He takes off his clothes on demand and even licks from the milk saucer on his hands and knees.
But the shirtless dance sequence to Samuel’s father figure George Michael is the most hypnotic of all – and you understand Romy’s unrelenting obsession with this alpha 20-something.
Hell, you’ll have one too.
Sexy, dark and exciting, Babygirl is a fresh and tantalizing look at the struggles of successful women between the boardroom and the bedroom.
Kidman is excellent in a role that could delight many.
She perfectly balances strength and vulnerability.
But it is Dickinson who makes this film a watch to remember.
It manages to maintain an impression of intrigue and demands attention in every single scene.’
