The Real Housewives of New Jersey Won't Have a Traditional Reunion for Season 14 (Exclusive)

The Real Housewives of New Jersey turns the tables in season 14.

PEOPLE can exclusively confirm that for the first time in reality series history, there will be no traditional East Coast reunion.

“The reunion needs to have a resolution, and it’s clear in the season finale that there’s no way forward in that environment,” an insider familiar with the situation told PEOPLE. “So the network is coming up with a different concept to end the season.”

This was a bad season RHONJ who experienced long-standing rifts only continue to further separate actresses Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider and Jenn Fessler.

It is the same division that caused it RHONJ have split panels at BravoCon for the past two years.

At the center of the conflict is the quarrel between the long-time Housewives and sisters-in-law Teresa and Melissa. Throughout the season, the two reportedly didn’t communicate until the explosive finale that was teased in the premiere episode.

Margaret is also at odds with Teresa, after she revealed at the season 13 reunion that the mother-of-four’s husband, Luis Ruelas, called and threatened her son at his workplace.

Both Teresa and Luis denied Margaret’s claim, but the Soireé founder remained steadfast in her desire not to hang out with them — even distancing herself from the Friends franchise’s Jackie and Jenn for getting close to Teresa.

Teresa and Luis, meanwhile, claimed that Margaret spoke to Luis’ ex in order to plant negative stories about him on the show, which Margaret denied.

Rachel had her own issues with Teresa and Luis, also stemming from a reunion where her husband, John Fuda, claimed the pair had been investigating them through their friend Bo Dietel — and even contacted John’s ex-wife in prison.

Teresa and Luis denied the claims, but in the Season 14 premiere, Teresa repeated online accusations about John from his ex that he was “the biggest drug dealer in Bergen County” and that he liked “kinky s—” including sex toys.

John laughed off the claims, telling PEOPLE, “The damaging lies being repeated about me have no roots in reality.”

However, the rumors upset Rachel so much that she got into a fight with Jenn for continuing to hang out with Teresa.

Previews for this season show the Fudas coming face-to-face with Teresa and Luis during a future episode, in a conversation that ends with John calling Teresa “the poster child for mortgage fraud.” He says, “When I need to launder my money, I’ll call you!”

In the season 14 finale, they fought again, this time with a glass jug thrown during an exchange of insults.

Perhaps the only one who remained on good terms with everyone is Dolores. In the season 14 finale clip shown during the premiere, she is seen sitting alone at a table and thinking about how things got so bad between everyone.

RHONJ’with Melissa Gorga calling out Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin for their ‘disgusting’ and ‘disgraceful’ behavior

The drama between the Housewives of Jersey didn’t just happen in front of the cameras.

Over the past few months, a scandal has erupted on social media involving a woman behind a former troll account under a name Melissa’s Old Nose claimed that Teresa and Jennifer asked her and other famous accounts to dig up dirt on Melissa, Rachel, John and Margaret’s secrets, which the two would later bring up on the show to generate drama.

The bill is even split screenshots of alleged direct messages with Teresa and Jennifer which show the Housewives handing out screeners to episodes before airing (and allegedly giving gifts and compensation to the woman to continue the attacks).

Jennifer did not comment on the claims, but in an interview with Party tonight, Teresa denied any involvement. – I don’t do that – she said. “Everybody that knows me, I’m so real. Like, what you see is what you get, and I don’t dig into people’s pasts.”

Real Housewives fans know that splitting the cast doesn’t make for a pleasant viewing experience. Actually both The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Real Housewives of Potomac recently underwent a major cast reboot due to inconsistencies that could not be resolved.

The only other time a reunion was canceled in Real Housewives the franchise was in its 13th season The Real Housewives of New York. For Season 14, the network rebooted the series with an all-new cast, firing all the ladies from Season 13 in the process.

Bravo is known to not comment on the cast, but another source tells PEOPLE that the network has not made any permanent decision about RHONJ.

“Anything and everything is on the table,” an insider tells PEOPLE, noting that “all options are being discussed and “nothing official about the series has been decided.”
