Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Dr. Wendy Osefo, Mia Thornton and Nneka Ihim all wore black – but whose funeral?

Can The Real Housewives of Potomac honor to fix your division?

That’s the question on everyone’s mind, including executive producer Andy Cohen, who kicks off the season eight reunion by setting an intention for the Housewives of Descendants: “That each of you can find a way forward.”

PEOPLE has an exclusive premiere trailer for the three-part reunion, which begins Sunday, March 31 — one week after the Season 8 finale airs.

Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Dr. Wendy Osefo, Mia Thornton and new Housewife Nneka Ihim are back to reflect on the fractured state of their friendship.

Season 8 was especially difficult for the women. They were so divided that it not only affected the flow of the series, but also the ratings, the ratings dropped and the audience did not hold back their distaste for the disjointed season.

The flaw this season is that there are women who can’t get along with some of the other women, so there are all these pockets of women who just don’t want to acknowledge each other — which isn’t a recipe for, you know, [good TV]” Andy said on his SiriusXM’s radio show Andy Cohen live, earlier this month. “One of the trademarks housewives finds a way to move forward. And so, it was kind of a directive Potomac reunion.”

Whether they succeeded or not remains to be seen. In the reunion trailer, things don’t look promising as Candiace continues to trade insults with Gizelle and Robyn, a feud that only deepened as the season progressed.

“You’re a loser,” Candiace tells Robyn at one point, before Gizelle lists all the things Candiace has said about her. “Gizelle is the devil, Gizelle is the devil, Gizelle is evil…”

“All true!” Candiace says, standing by her words.

“I think you need Jesus, personally,” Andy tells the women, Candiace quickly tells him, “I’ve got Him. He’s right here.”

As the three of them try to work things out, Wendy and Nneka work through their issues, with Nneka claiming that the professor and the talk show host “kicked me out of this group.”

However, the two biggest bombshells in the reunion trailers come from moments unrelated to the tension between the cast.

It begins with Ashley, when she opens up about her split from her estranged husband, Michael Darby. The two — who share sons Dean, 4, and Dylan, 3 — were married for eight years before she announced they were separating in April 2022. They haven’t filed for divorce yet, and from the sounds of it, that’s not going to happen anytime soon when soon.

“I still love him,” says Ashley. “I still massage this man’s feet every night. I massage Michael’s feet.”

There’s also Mia, who shows up at the reunion with her estranged husband Gordon Thornton. The two have been feuding since she announced they were splitting in September, though they seem to be on good terms now, with Gordon even saying hi to Mia’s new boyfriend — radio personality Incognito, or “Inc” — while Mia FaceTimes him.

Onstage, however, Mia drops the bombshell that Inc thinks he’s the father of Mia’s 8-year-old son, Jeremiah Carter — something Gordon previously claimed.

“Still,” says a shocked Ashley.
