Bowling played an important role in Homer .’s life The Simpsons, so much so that it appeared in episodes over the years. Not as much as beer or donuts, but he still loves to play. But the authors of I can’t believe this is the bigger and better updated unofficial Simpsons family guide that put “Team Homer” on their least-favorite list. Their main problem seems to be the bowling story, as they prefer the school uniform storyline.
Pin Pals: Part Deux
The Simpsons Pin Pals were revived in the Season 29 episode titled “Singing in the Lane”. Homer, Barney, Lenny and Carl decide to use Moe as their coach to help him integrate into their social lives and get the team back on track. Apparently, former members Otto, Apu and Mr. Burns did not participate in the reunion. Everything that made the original Pin Pals episode so great is gone in this needless reimagining of the classic. Callbacks can be fun, but basing the entire episode on this concept just doesn’t work.
Otto was eliminated twice
While the team’s lineup changes in “Singing in the Lane”, the only one who remains unchanged is Otto. Again, he’s not up there. Otto was part of the original team, but was fired from “Team Homer” to make way for Mr.
But when Pin Pals was refounded, Otto remained a non-member. He doesn’t even appear in the episode. That sucks, because this is Homer’s chance to make up for his son’s bus driver. On the plus side, Otto might not remember being on the bowling team in the first place.
