The BBC’s much-anticipated new true-crime drama, The Sixth Commandment, premiered on Monday evening. The four-part series explores the deaths of Peter Farquhar and Ann Moore-Martin in the village of Maids Moreton in Buckinghamshire and the subsequent events that take place in the following years.
The film stars Annabel Scholey, perhaps best known for her role as Nina Defoe in the BBC legal drama, alongside Timothy Spall, Anne Reid and Éanna Hardwicke. Detached. But did you know that Annabel’s other half is also a small screen star?

Who is Annabel Scholey?
Annabel Scholey is an actress from Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
Her notable roles include Lauren Drake in the BBC supernatural drama series, be humanSarah Bailey on BBC One Poisoning in Salisburyand Nina Defoe inside Detached.

She also starred in the musical film, Walking In The Sun.
Annabel, 39, also boasts an impressive list of theatrical roles, having appeared in the 2013 revival film. Passion game by Peter Nichols and adapted by Sam Mendes Richard III both in London and in New York.

Who is Annabel Scholey’s husband?
Annabel Scholey is married to actor Ciaran McMenamin.
Ciarán, who hails from Northern Ireland, has appeared in various TV series over the years and is currently starring in the BBC crime drama Northern Ireland, The path of hope.
He may also be recognized for his role as Matt Anderson in the sci-fi series, Primitive.

The 47-year-old has appeared in an episode of many popular shows including Death in Heaven, Midsomer Murders, Lewis And Marple by Agatha Christie. He also played a character named Rhys in the crime drama series, silent witnessin 2008.
In 1999, the actor received the lead role in the BBC One TV series, David Copperfield, which also stars Maggie Smith and Imelda Staunton. One of his other lead roles was in the ITV medical drama series, gold timein which he played Dr. Paul Keane opposite Richard Armitage.
In addition to acting, Ciarán is a successful writer and has published two novels. His first book, Skintownpublished in 2018, has been compared to the hit novel by Irvine Welsh detected train.

Three years later, he published his second novel, A flooded road.
Annabel and Ciarán first met when she was an audience member of one of his plays, and then a mutual friend arranged for them to go on a blind date. Speaking to The Belfast Telegraph about the first time they met, Annabel said: “He was performing at the National Theater and I was in the audience and I thought ‘he was great’.
“A while later, I was lamenting my love life when a friend of mine suggested Ciaran. I thought, ‘yeah, I like him…I’m a huge fan of Irish accents like that. lots of other women.’ So we had a semi-blind date, and then we went out, which is pretty rare, but it’s great.”

The couple married in May 2017 and later have a daughter named Marnie.
