After two decades in the NFL, he was appointed head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. His NFL coaching career began in 1994 when he was hired as the Dallas Cowboys linebacker coach. In 2000, he was appointed defensive coordinator. Then, in 2007, he was hired as the Atlanta Falcons’ defensive coordinator.
