“I want to stand up for the Cheesecake Factory because I go there every week,” she said. “Paloma has ACT Prep and there’s a Cheesecake Factory five minutes away. Sara and I agree they make the best dirty martinis.”

In addition to saying that she is “very nice” at the popular restaurant and that “everyone is wonderful”, she also revealed her favorite foods – Tex Mex egg rolls and chicken dumplings.

“I’m very surprised because there’s also a discussion on the internet about places you should never go on a first date,” she continued. “I must be a really cheap date because I love Chili’s, I love Chipotle.” Her fellow talk show hosts had similar sentiments.

Alyssa Farah Griffin said she likes Olive Garden, Red Lobster and McDonalds. “You could take me to the parking lot and I’d be like, ‘This is fine,'” she said. “You can take me to the nicest restaurant…and if you don’t like them, it won’t make a difference.”

Hostin continued the discussion by saying that her first date with husband Emmanuel was at Popeye’s, which Griffin said was a “good move.” Joy Behar revealed that her first date with husband Steve Janowitz was at Empire Chinese.

In the original TikTok video, the woman they took on a date claimed that the Cheesecake Factory was not a good location for a first date because it was a “chain restaurant.”

“Who takes someone who looks like this to a chain restaurant?” she said. The man then expressed that he had his own “expectations”.

“I went on a date with expectations of myself – to look after you, to respect you, to pay for your food, to pick you up – and just treat you like a gentleman. Which I believe I did,” he said. “I, on the other hand, have certain expectations of a girl I go on a first date with. I expect her to be respectful, I expect her to be cooperative.”
