Lindsie Chrisley Says She Was 'Never Comfortable Fully' While Shooting Family's Reality Show

The former reality star admitted that she is “the shyest Chrisley by a long shot”

Lindsie Chrisley talks about her experience filming a family reality television show Chrisley knows best.

When a fan remarked that she seemed “so shy” on the USA Network series and asked what brought her out of her shell during an Instagram Q&A, the TV personality called the assessment “unbelievably accurate.”

“I’ve always been a shy girl my whole life, but the people I’m closest to probably wouldn’t say I’m shy,” she said. “I’m podcasting with one of my best friends and in the comfort of my own home. I’ve never been completely comfortable on television.”

Lindsie continued, “And I think it’s become a priority for me to recognize my comfort zone and take advantage of that and move forward.”

She concluded her message by noting that she was “the shyest Chrisley by a long shot.”

While Lindsie seems to be focused on her podcasts now, Convos with coffee and Southern teaher family plans to return to the small screen.

In August, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed that the Chrisley family is teaming up with Scout Productions for their new, upcoming reality series. The untitled program will follow this pivotal next chapter for Chase Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley, Grayson Chrisley, Chloe Chrisley and nanny Faye Chrisley following Todd and Julie Chrisley’s legal troubles and subsequent prison terms.

According to a statement from Scout Productions, the new series will serve as “a continuation of their story” in which longtime fans will be able to see the Chrisleys as “they truly are — just as dynamically entertaining and naturally hilarious as ever, but not shying away from the authentic drama and edge that make them makes it as related as ever.”

Teasing the family’s new collaboration, Savannah, 26, explained how it was “the right time to share our story”.

“We couldn’t have found better partners in Scout Productions. Their ability to balance popular culture and empathy through authentic storytelling is unmatched, and I know they will find the right home for this next chapter of our lives,” she continued. “We are so happy to be back.”

Lindsie Chrisley admits she and her siblings can be ‘petty’ with each other as a source says they’re ‘not well’

News of the new show comes as Savannah opened up to PEOPLE earlier this month about where she stands with Lindsie as they continue to publicly discuss their private rift. The couple is currently unfollowing each other on social media and not talking to each other in real life.

“It’s very interesting,” Savannah said of her clash with Lindsie. “I don’t do well with constant lies and a victim mentality, so I’m good.”

Lindsie Chrisley says she ‘respectfully’ declined to appear in an upcoming documentary about her family

Wanting to keep her cool, Savannah added that she doesn’t see a future reconciliation as a possibility at this point.

“I realized that as an adult it is my responsibility to have healthy relationships and end unhealthy ones,” she continued. “Especially now with two kids, it’s my job to protect them emotionally, physically, mentally and I just have no room for people who don’t want to show up and do it in a healthy way.”

Lindsie revealed in June that she had blocked siblings Savannah, Chase and Grayson, on social media after a recent spat, but said “everything is fine” between them.

However, a source told PEOPLE that the siblings are “not doing well,” which Savannah confirmed on Viall files. She also claimed that Lindsie and her brother Kyle Chrisley – both of whom Todd had during a previous marriage – did not treat her mother Julie like she was their mum, even though Julie “always treated them like they were her own”.

During her appearance on Convos with coffee podcast, Lindsie said Savannah’s comments showed a “complete lack of empathy” given that her parents “were divorced [and] went through toxic co-parenting and [hated] one another.”
