The Voice Crowns a New Champion! Huntley Wins Season 24

Congratulations are in order for Huntley!

Huntley was named the season 24 winner Vote on Tuesday night, marking coach Niall Horan’s second straight win.

“Huntley, you are the voice. Congratulations,” announced host Carson Daly. He burst into tears and hugged runner-up Ruby Leigh. Then Horan jumped on stage and gave him a big hug.

During the show, Huntley performed Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” in a duet with Horan.

The 33-year-old singer beat Mara Justine from Team Niall, Jacquie Roar and Ruby Leigh from Team Reba and Lila Forde from Team Legend.

Huntley quickly caught the coaches’ attention with his four-chair audition for the song “She Talks to Angels.”

“Huntley, I heard… I don’t know if you ever heard of an English singer called Daniel Merriweather. There was another guy called James Morrison. I hear this tone, like the one with Chris Stapleton, it’s a tone that comes naturally” , said Horan, 30. “I bet you sang like that when you were 15. You sing your way, you sing very directly and you have so much power and control. It’s so beautiful to listen to.”

Coach Gwen Stefani added, “Your voice is so automatic. You know exactly when you’re going to be raspy and it’s pure and honest. You sound like you’ve been singing forever. You’re just comfortable.”

To help him choose, he brought his daughter, 6-year-old Stella, on stage, and she chose Horan to be his coach.

Ahead of the finals, Huntley — who is from Fredericksburg, Virginia — took to social media to talk openly about all the love and support he’s received during this journey.

“This is crazy. I’m so blessed and so thankful for everyone who believed in me on this journey,” he wrote on Instagram. “Although someone will be crowned the winner, we were all just trying to create moments of true artistry and the amount of support from everyone side meant a lot to all of us.”

He released his debut single “Holdin On” in 2022.
