After 34 years in Wigles, Anthony Field – the only remaining original member – approaches the songwriting songs with the same desire: to cause joy in children.
On Friday, March 7, Wiggles released their new album Get out, dizzy!. Field, also known as Blue Wiggle, opens about finding inspiration for music, the heritage of the band and more.
“Of course, everything is special,” Field (61) says for people.

“One of the best lessons I have ever given while I was in a lecture, I pulled out the vacuum cleaner and showed them how to suck in dirt and things,” he says. “And I kept that three -year classroom entertained by the longest ever.”
Field adds, “And that was the right moment of the bulb when I realized,” Yes, as an adult, it’s not a big deal on the bus. For a child, it’s a great adventure. ”
Since Wiggles were formed in Sydney in 1991, a band – which has since spread to eight members – has released over 60 albums. WITH Get out, dizzy!Field hopes that children will get a real introduction to country music if it’s not something they raised.
“I always say the Wiggles, because the last of the originals remained,” you have to treat every project as if it were the first time they had seen Wiggles, “he says. [The original Wiggles lineup included Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt and Greg Page.]
“I just try to get the best out of them all, so the children eventually laugh and are doing great,” Field continues.
The album also includes a feature star, including Dolly Parton, Dasha, Lainey Wilson, Orville Peck, MacKenzie Porter, Morgan Evans and more.
How did Wiggles land on such stellar collaborations? Every artist is passionately returning and has a positive effect on children.
“We love Dolly’s music. I can’t tell you how much tears shed when Dolly agreed to come to this album and send us some songs with her,” he says about working with the singer “9 to 5”.
“Orville Peck. Now, my daughter, Lucia, who is in Wiggles, she absolutely loves Orville Peck. When he said he was on board, well, I didn’t know much about Orville, I was a little without contact, but when I saw him, he was just a winner and a lovely man. We met him in Sydney,” he adds.

Referring to the inheritance of Maha, which began as a university project, Field says their success was a series of “happy accidents”. Although the original members moved on, he still remains in contact with them.
Field, meanwhile, plans to continue as far as he can.
“I am overjoyed that it has succeeded and I am so happy to still do it. And the guys, the original guys are always so enthusiastic and supporting that the wind is still going,” he says.
“I asked Simona, who has been fighting for 13 years now, I think,” Simon, if one day comes with him, and I don’t know, touch me on my shoulder and maybe it’s time to go, “Field concludes.”[But] I don’t see that I retreat as long as I still contribute. ”
