“I feel like she’s been my daughter all these years,” she said. “We were always so close and had a great relationship. And her mom and her brothers, we’re literally one big family.”

Theresa became a grandmother when Victoria and Michael welcomed their first child, Michelina “Minnie” Rose, on February 22, 2022. She announced her granddaughter’s arrival in an Instagram post holding the newborn.

“I am a grandmother. There are no words to describe the love and feeling of holding my granddaughter,” she wrote.

Theresa admitted that she was excited to show off her relationship with her family and her newest addition to her then-new Lifetime reality series, Theresa Caputo: Ascending the Spirit.

“I still talk to the souls of the departed [on the show]so don’t worry about it,” she said to Today show. “But what I love is that we go a little more into my personal life with my family, my parents and my grandson.”

Victoria and her husband are currently expecting baby no. 2. She announced the happy news on Instagram in August 2024, writing: “We are growing another little man to add to our family. We are so excited and can’t wait for March to come.”

Fortunately for Theresa, she lived with her granddaughter for a long time after her birth. Victoria and Michael moved in with Theresa while their home was being built.

In the second episode Theresa Caputo: Ascending the Spiritthey talked about Victoria moving into her new house even though she was reluctant to leave because of how much her mother was helping her with Michelina.

“The best thing about living with my mom is that I don’t have to watch Michelina 24/7,” Victoria said during the episode. “So I’m being selfish and torturing Michael just a little longer until I get kicked out.”

Theresa wasn’t worried about losing the “bond” they have as mother and daughter and said their bond will always be “strong” even though they won’t be living in the same household.

They revealed on Instagram that they launched their podcast in August 2023 to foster “unfiltered conversations about the realities of being a modern mom.”

Theresa and her ex-husband Larry decided to go their separate ways after 28 years of marriage in 2017. They jointly announced the news of their divorce in a statement to PEOPLE, highlighting their “28 wonderful years together” and vowing to “continue to support each other and remain friends.” after their separation.
