The survey was conducted by GasBuddy — a company that helps drivers find lower fuel prices on their route
One city in the United States of America has drivers who are sure to be on Santa’s naughty list this year.
Earlier this month, GasBuddy — a company that helps drivers find lower gas prices along their route — released its “Worst and Nicest Cities to Drive During the Holidays” study, which found drivers in Tucson, Arizona, were the worst.
Drivers from West Coast cities are followed by Nashville, Tennessee, in second place, with Orlando, Florida and Jacksonville in third and fourth place.
Rounding out the rest of the nation’s bad areas are New Orleans, Louisiana; Richmond, Virginia; Salt Lake City, Utah; Buffalo, New York; Memphis, Tennessee, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

According to GasBuddy, the company collected the data using an optional query on its mobile app, which provides users with an assessment of their driving habits to improve their fuel efficiency.
The app, the company said, also shows where users may have displayed bad driving habits on their route.
Looking at more than 8 million drives in the 50 largest metropolitan areas by population, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, the results found that “American drivers are up to 48% more aggressive on the roads during the holiday season.”
The most common aggressive driving habits that drivers have during the holidays are sudden braking, then speeding and sudden acceleration, according to the company.

In addition, GasBuddy also revealed the cities with the least aggressive vacation drivers, with Minneapolis, Minnesota taking the top spot.
Other notable cities include Providence, Rhode Island, in second place, followed by Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; Cleveland, Ohio; Norfolk, Virginia; Hartford, Connecticut; Las Vegas, Nevada; Rochester, New York, and Columbus, Ohio.
“Driving during the holiday season can be stressful, but it’s important to remember to stay calm and courteous on the road,” Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said in a statement.
“Additionally, aggressive driving can negatively impact fuel efficiency, causing drivers to waste money that could be spent on holiday celebrations or gifts for loved ones,” he added.
