According to online instructions centered around Garten’s Salted Caramel Walnuts, the recipe makes 8 cups and is intended for what are considered “advanced” cooks.
You can make the treats by preheating the oven to 350 degrees, then mix and spread the nuts on a sheet and fry them for 7 minutes.
After leaving them aside to cool, put the nuts and other ingredients in a baking pan and mix with a fork until the sugar is moistened, says the recipe.
The mixture should then be returned to the oven to continue cooking for an additional five to 10 minutes, until it turns a clear golden brown. After the other ingredients are added and mixed, the walnuts should be spread out in a single layer and pulled with two forks before leaving to cool.
