Thomas Wheeler (also known as Tom Wheeler) is an American author, screenwriter, and producer, whose credits include the television series At the End of the World (2011) and Cursed (2020); and the films Puss in Boots (2011) and The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017).

In 2005, he began his television career as a writer and executive producer for the ABC miniseries Empire.
He subsequently wrote and produced the television series Surface (2005), The World According to Barnes (2007; TV movie), Captain Cook’s Extraordinary Atlas (2009; TV movie) and The Cape (2011). He made his screen debut as a screenwriter with the film Puss in Boots (2011).
He has written screenplays for several films, including Puss in Boots: Three Demons (video short; 2012), The LEGO Ninjago Movie (2017), Dora the Explorer: The Lost City of Gold (2019), and The Magic Mandrake.
Other works
He started out as an actor. After moving to Los Angeles, he decided to pursue other filmmaking endeavors, so he became a writer. He has also done voiceover work in animated films; playing the role of “Bartender/Bad Boy/Carriage Driver/Innkeeper/Rodrigo” in Puss in Boots (2011) and “Other Characters” in The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017). He also served as an executive producer on the short films Imagination (2002) and Tir Nan Og (2003).
