Tia Mowry Celebrates ‘Intelligent, Hilarious and Loving’ Son Cree’s 13th Birthday

Tia Mowry is officially a mom to a teenage girl!

The Family gathering The alum, 45, posted a sweet tribute to her son, Cree – who she shares with ex-husband Cory Hardrict, along with daughter Cairo – on Instagram for his birthday on Friday, June 28.

“Everyone move, we have a TEENAGER in the house! Happy birthday Cree! 🎉 I can’t believe my baby is growing up so fast,” the actress captioned the photo and video carousel.

Mowry went on to praise Cree’s character: “I am blessed with such an intelligent, hilarious, loving son.”

The photos and videos in her tribute post proved how funny and caring Cree is. Mowry included footage of her son dancing in his pajamas as a boy, along with a video of him all grown up.

In a more recent clip, he can be seen telling the camera that his younger sister, Cairo, 6, is “lucky I love her so much” because she almost stepped on a beloved pair of sneakers he was wearing.

“Send me a prayer. I’m going to look like mukbang people after I eat,” Cree told the camera in another video of himself sitting in front of a plate of fried chicken and waffles topped with ice cream.

Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE in April, Mowry said Cree is interested in mukbang videos, in which people film themselves eating large amounts of food.

“Cree really likes mukbangs. He’s on YouTube and he likes Asian culture and Asian cuisine, so he watches a bunch of those videos and learns more about different recipes,” she said.

“We like to go out to eat together — sometimes just him and me, or we’ll go with Uncle Tahj because he also likes anime and Asian culture — and we’ll just explore different kinds of delicacies and food. He loves doing that, and he loves basketball.” she added, referring to her brother Tahj.

Mowry’s tribute to Cree on Instagram also included a photo that proves the newly minted teenager has had an interest in all things food since she was young. In a flashback, the mother-son pair can be seen icing cookies together in the kitchen.
