Tiffany Haddish is sober!
The 44-year-old actress and comedian revealed that she had been sober for more than two months while guesting on British journalist Amanda de Cadnet’s show Conversation podcast.
“I haven’t drank alcohol or smoked weed or anything in, like, 72 days,” Haddish told the host in the first 10 minutes of their conversation, after Cadnet mentioned she had a history of addiction.
“It’s not hard. It’s not that hard for me, because it wasn’t, like, the main thing for me anyway,” Girls trip the star continued after de Cadnet congratulated her.
Haddish added that she has more trouble eating healthy amounts of meat and sweets.

When asked what prompted her to stop using alcohol and weed, Haddish said she was “obeying the law.”
“It’s court-ordered,” she continued, referring to her two DUI arrests. She then added that she was only smoking weed to ease the pain associated with her endometriosis.

Haddish’s most recent arrest occurred in the early morning hours of November 24, 2023, after she allegedly fell asleep at the wheel of her Tesla in Beverly Hills, California, and was charged with DUI.
She had attended a Thanksgiving event at The Laugh Factory in West Hollywood the night before, and was released from custody the same day after her arrest.
The charge was reduced to a misdemeanor, and Haunted castle the star has pleaded not to compete in February.
During her podcast appearance, Haddish said she was “driving exhausted” and would have fought her accusers “tooth and nail” if the stress hadn’t affected her health.

Prior to his 2023 arrest, Haddish was also arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken into custody by Peachtree City, Georgia police in January 2022.
