Tiger Woods' Son Charlie, 15, Hits First Hole-in-One in Front of Dad — See His Reaction!

Such a father, such a son!

Charlie Woods, the 15-year-old son of golf great Tiger Woods, celebrates with his father after hitting his first hole-in-one during the 2024 PNC Championship in Orlando on Sunday, Dec. 22.

The proud father’s moment came during the fourth hole, midway through the tournament’s second round, one day after Tiger stepped onto the course with his son and 17-year-old daughter Sam — who served as his carrier — for the first round of the annual event.

Tiger Woods’ daughter Sam is back as a caddy as he and son Charlie play together in the 2024 PNC Championship.

Charlie, who first paired with Tiger in the 2020 tournament before continuing the family tradition this year, was captured in a video shared by the PGA Tour making his milestone shot. After Charlie hit the ball, Golf Channel commentators praised the teenager for his “really great contact”, before the ball quickly rolled straight into the hole at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club.

According to the PGA Tour, Charlie’s shot was on the par-3 hole and traveled 176 feet for an ace. He used a 7-iron before the ball dropped about 6 feet short of the hole and then rolled into the cup.

As Charlie began to walk away from where he had swung, he quickly realized he had blown a hole in one, shrugged and smiled as onlookers surrounded him. Papa Tiger then came over, opened his arms for a big hug and playfully pushed Charlie onto the track.

“It was a perfect 7-iron, so I just hit it,” Charlie told Golf Channel immediately after his milestone moment. “Down the left side, a little cut 7. It was great. I didn’t think he came in. I don’t trust anybody until I go up there and see it.”

According to CBS, the shot marked Charlie’s “first” hole-in-one. His dad has 20 career losses, three of which have come on the PGA Tour, per Golf monthly.

In another corner of the moment that split the PNC Championship, Charlie could be heard calling the shot “terrible.”

“What a way to do it,” he said smiling with his sister.

Tiger Woods’ son Charlie Woods, 15, qualifies for first USGA championship: ‘I want to win’

Charlie’s latest triumph comes when he and his sister joined Tiger for another family outing at the PNC Championship — where last year Sam made her caddying debut in the 36-hole event.

Tiger previously told reporters that he is always “excited” to play a round of golf with his son. “Charlie clearly loves the time he spends with dad on the golf course,” a source close to Woods told PEOPLE in 2020. “It’s definitely a bonding activity for the two of them.”

The athlete shares both of his children with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren, whom he married in 2004 and later divorced in 2010.

“I just love being with them and seeing what they’re doing, what they’re capable of — the joys, the changes in interests. It’s just fun. We have a great time together,” Tiger said of his two children in 2011.

Charlie has since followed in his father’s footsteps, as he attempted to qualify for the US Open in April. He fell short, but later qualified for his first USGA tournament in June. Tiger previously told reporters that he would be “proud” of Charlie no matter what career path he chooses, but was excited to play his son in a tournament for the first time at the 2020 PNC Championship.

“I don’t think words can describe it,” Tiger said. “Just the fact that we were able to have this experience together, Charlie and I, it’s memories to last a lifetime.”
