TikTok Star Noah Beck Cast In Romantic Comedy The QB Bad Boy and Me

Noah Beck will produce and star in the upcoming teen romantic comedy The QB Bad Boy and Me with Creator+ and Wattpad Webtoon Studios.

Noah Beck will star in and produce Wattpad Webtoon Studios and Creator+’s upcoming romantic comedy QB bad boy and me. Baker, 20, is a TikTok star with more than 32 million followers on the app. He usually posts dance videos or comedy videos with other young TikTok celebrities. Wattpad Studios is responsible for several films that began as fan fiction, including the popular After series. Creator+ is a new studio and streaming platform that helps people transition from the digital world to Hollywood.

Deadline reports that Noah Baker will make his starring and executive debut on QB Bad Boy and Me, a teen comedy based on Tay Marley’s Wattpad novel. The novel tells the story of the relationship between high school cheerleader Drayton Leahy (played by Baker) and the football quarterback. It is one of the most popular books on the platform, with over 30 million reads. Production is scheduled to begin in summer 2022. Check out Beck’s statement below:

“I’m thrilled to be working with this incredible team and honored to be able to bring Tye’s beloved story and characters to life. I can’t wait to get to work and dive into all creative aspects of the film.”

Baker’s involvement in the upcoming film is part of a growing movement of social media stars trying to turn online fame into Hollywood success. In 2021, TikTok star Addison Rae starred in Netflix’s “He’s All That”; in 2022, Netflix launched Hype House, a reality show about TikTok stars. This trend has generated a lot of controversy – while these movies and series are undoubtedly popular, some Hollywood veterans are concerned about someone with little industry experience taking on such a major role. Baker himself is a controversial figure who has been criticized for producing content that many critics consider homophobic. Considering Baker’s popularity and his divisiveness, the upcoming QB Bad Boy and Me is sure to generate a lot of buzz.
