TikTok Star Pookie Apologizes For ‘Resurfaced’ Photos: ‘I Didn’t Fully Understand the Impact of My Actions’

TikTok star Campbell Hunt Puckett, known online as Pookie, is dealing with old photos of himself that have “resurfaced” online.

Although Campbell did not clarify the nature of the photos, shots of her dressed in a white and pink lace Antebellum party costume have been circulating online. She also posed in front of the Confederate flag in one photo and dressed as former first lady Melania Trump in another.

“As some of you may have seen, some of my old photos have recently resurfaced,” began her apology, which she shared on her Instagram Story. “At the time these photos were taken, I was 20 years old. I did not fully understand the impact of my actions in the way I do now, 12 years later. I fully apologize for the harm this may have caused to others and take full responsibility.”

The content creator and her husband, Jett Puckett, went viral after sharing an outfit of the day video on TikTok in which Jett called Campbell Pookie.

“I’m taking Pookie to a new place tonight with three other couples, and Pookie looks absolutely incredibly. Good God, baby, I love all black,” she says before continuing to explain her look. The Jan. 14 video has been parodied online and has garnered more than 7 million views.

Campbell wrote in her apology that she and Jett loved sharing their lives and getting to know their community on “such an intimate level.”

“Because we live our lives so publicly, everything is online, even my mistakes. We hope to continue to take you with us on our journey as we continue to learn and grow,” she continued.

Jett often appears in Campbell’s videos. The two got engaged 10 months after meeting and married in April 2018.

“I walked up to the most beautiful girl at a wine bar in Philly and just started talking to her. Two days later we were inseparable and 10 months later we were engaged,” Jett explains in a recent TikTok. – At that time, I was a graduate student, and Campbell was a flight attendant.
