Tim Burton and Monica Bellucci Make Red Carpet Debut as a Couple in Rome

Tim Burton and Monica Bellucci are official for the red carpet!

On Thursday, the director and the actress made their debut as a couple on Diabolical Chi Sei? premiered during the 18th Rome Film Festival, held at the Parco Della Musica Auditorium in the Italian capital.

Burton (65) wore a black and black suit, shirt, tie and shoes, while Bellucci (59) chose a dark gray floor-length dress with dropped shoulders. She wore her hair down in a sleek bun, with bangs adorning her smokey eyes.

Holding hands in one of their joint carpet shots, the pair posed for the camera in their dark colored ensembles.

In another shot, Burton placed his hand gently behind Bellucci’s back as he smiled, wearing his signature black-rimmed glasses.

Monica Bellucci confirms her relationship with her ‘Beetlejuice 2’ director Tim Burton: ‘I love him’

Speaking for the first time about their romance in June after months of rumours, Bellucci confirmed the news to Ella France, revealing her love for the director and how “lucky” she is to have met him.

“What I can say… I’m glad to meet the man, first of all,” said the mafia mom actress. “It’s one of those meetings that rarely happen in life… I know the man, I love him, and now I’m going to meet the director, another adventure begins.”

The couple worked together on Beetle juice 2 in London at the time, with Burton directing the long-awaited sequel to his 1988 horror-comedy film.

– I love Tim – continued Bellucci. “And I have a lot of respect for Tim Burton.”

After The Hollywood Reporter said that Bellucci got the part Beetle juice 2PEOPLE has confirmed that the film will hit theaters on September 6, 2024.

The former Bond girl — who will portray the wife of the titular character, played again by Michael Keaton — and Burton met briefly on the red carpet at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.

The duo was photographed hand in hand in Madrid back in February. They also appeared together at the Lumière Film Festival in Lyon, France in October 2022, when Bellucci presented Burton with the festival’s Lumière Lifetime Achievement Award.
