Knowles, who shares Beyoncé, 42, and Solange, 37, with her ex-husband Matthew Knowles, then shared her favorite childhood memory of her second daughter.

“Solange, was she signing petitions at school, she was only in about fifth grade and she was out there signing petitions,” Knowles said. “So she’s always been an activist.”

Knowles often refers to Rowland, 43, as her third daughter, and she recalled it earlier this month Today with Hoda and Jenna how Rowland came to live with his family at the age of 11. “That’s my child,” she added.

“Kelly was always the kid who was just trying to protect everybody,” Knowles continued. “I remember her with my best friend Barbara and her as a mediator and just as a little peacemaker.”

“Every child is different! But everything so special. I believe that children are born with their own personality. My three girls handled everything very differently,” the fashion designer wrote in the caption of the video. “Learn their personalities and respect their individuality. Never compare negative things, always praise the positive differences and pay attention to the things you can brag about them. They love it and it encourages positive behavior. “They call me grandma,” Knowles said.

“It’s the best. With grandchildren, you don’t have the pressure of taking responsibility for how they turn out, so you can just indulge them and let them have the noisy toys that drive their parents crazy,” she joked. “It’s just the best. They’re the best. All my grandkids are super creative and I just love them to death.”

While Beyoncé has a daughter Blue Ivy (12) and twins Rumi and Sir (6) with her husband Jay-Z, Solange is mom to 19-year-old son Daniel ‘Juelz’ Smith Jr. with her ex-husband Daniel Smith.
