Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s daughter Isabella speaks out about Scientology in a letter shared with church members.
Isabella, who is also known as Bella, wrote a statement about her training as an auditor within the Church of Scientology. It was first published by Tony Ortega, a prominent critic of the church.
Cruise, a high-ranking Scientologist, and Kidman also have a son, Connor, 24. The two divorced in 2001.
An auditor within the church is extensively trained to help other members through intensive self-examination sessions using an electronic device called an E-meter.
In her statement written for the London branch of the organisation, Bella, 26, described the training as “exactly what I needed”.

“This IS what I was looking for. The missing piece. Suddenly everything made sense,” she wrote.
Bella added: “We all need to do this. It’s hard work. It’s a lot of effort. It’s a few falls and running to the bathroom to do a mini-episode, but it’s worth it because you’ll get through.”

“Thanks to my dad for everything,” she continued, and she also thanked her aunt, the actor’s sister, Cass Mapother. “I would have drowned in my own problems if you hadn’t been there for dinner [sic] me or take me through the preliminaries. It took the whole family and organization to get me here.”
She also thanked the “COB”, the chairman of the church board, David Miscavige, as well as the founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard.

Cruise and Kidman respected the privacy of their children. A source told PEOPLE in July 2018 that the actor “loves all of his kids. And each one of them is entitled to their own story.”

When asked by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in November 2018 about her relationship with her oldest children, Kidman said, “I’m very private about it all,” as reported by Australia’s Who Magazine. “I have to protect all these relationships. I know 150% that I would give up my life for my children because that is my purpose.”
