Tom Hanks and Robin Wright Reunite with Forrest Gump Director for Life-Spanning Drama Here: Trailer

Tom Hanks and Robin Wright share the screen again, 30 years later Forrest Gump.

June 26 first trailer for Here debuted, showcasing the Costars’ last project together, which also reunites them Gump directed by Robert Zemeckis.

Zemeckis has also previously worked with Hanks on films such as Discard, The Polar Express and pinocchio, and Wright collaborated with the filmmaker again on Beowulf.

Herebased on the graphic novel by Richard McGuire, is about “multiple families and the special place they inhabit,” according to the synopsis.

“The story travels across generations, capturing the human experience in its purest form,” adds the description, which calls the film “a story of love, loss, laughter and life, all happening right here.”

The Here The cast also includes Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly and Michelle Dockery. According to vanity fairthe film is told entirely from one perspective and the camera frame does not move.

Zemeckis told the newspaper: “One perspective never changes, but everything around it does.” This has never actually been done before. There are similar scenes in very early silent films, before the language of montage was invented. But other than that, yes, it was a risky venture.”

Hanks, 67, and Wright, 58, play their characters in various stages of life.

Zemeckis says of their transformations, β€œIt only works because the performances are so good. Both Tom and Robin realized right away that, okay, we have to go back and channel the way we were 50 or 40 years ago, and we have to bring that energy, that attitude, and even raise our voices. Stuff like that.”

Here it’s in theaters on November 15.
